Carrie Pittman

Carrie Pittman is from Birmingham, Al and grew up loving art. She started painting in 2013 as a personal outlet after work and on the weekends. Carrie has no formal training and has her own technique that plays with light and texture.

She loves the fact that “art has no rights or wrongs, dos or don’ts.” Carrie believes, “there is no end, no limits to what you can do and create. I am only limited by my own mind and imagination. There’s so much power and confidence in that! I work with oil, acrylic, water color and paper mache.”

In 2016, she decided to branch out from paintings and hand paint fabric in order to share or work in multiple formats. This has turned into a brand of bags, pillows, curtains and jewelry. Everything Carrie paints is one of a kind which she believes symbolizes the uniqueness in each person that receives it. “The biggest compliment I’ve ever been given is that people can feel I put my heart into my pieces.”

Carrie’s work has been featured on Fix It and Finish It (ABC) , HGTV , Better Home and Gardens Magazine, Birmingham Home and Garden, B-Metro, Grand Bohemian Gallery. Her work is sold in over 20 retailers throughout the country.

I want to support the Cancer Center because I would like to do whatever I can to contribute to finding a cure for cancer. Birmingham is fortunate to have such an amazing medical community that strives to offer the best research and care for patients. It is an honor to use my passion in art to help raise money for such a worthy cause. Thank you !
